The Jerez test gives us a first glimpse of some of the rookies and graduates to the class

Preparations for the 2023 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship have got well underway with the second and final off-season test before Christmas underway at the Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto in Andalusia, Spain. The test has given a sneak peek at what to expect in 2023 as plenty of rookies are in attendance, with the headlines being Dominique Aegerter (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) and teammate Remy Gardner, as well as Eric Granado (MIE Racing Honda Team), whilst Garrett Gerloff (Bonovo Action BMW) debuts the M 1000 RR – which is updated for 2023. There is also the return of the #54 plate for 2021 Champion Toprak Razgatlioglu (Pata Yamaha with Brixx WorldSBK). After opting to use the #1 plate as Champion, the Turkish rider has now switched back to his traditional #54 plate for the 2023 season.
