The British broadcaster will treat its audience with some of the best moments from ‘Foggy’ and ‘Shakey’
The 2020 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship continues its pause at the moment but that means we continue to enjoy some of the most iconic moments from the fastest production-derived Championship in the world. Our broadcast partners are also getting involved and this weekend, Eurosport UK will be joined by four-time WorldSBK Champion Carl Fogarty and 2003 WorldSBK wildcard sensation, Shane Byrne.
At 10am UK time (GMT+1) on Saturday, 30th May, Carl Fogarty will be on the ‘Whit and Friends’ show with former WorldSBK sparring partner and current Eurosport UK WorldSBK commentator, James Whitham and TV presenter, Matt Roberts. Talking about Foggy’s titles, how he sparked a huge British interest in WorldSBK, his Brands Hatch success of 1995 as well as racing in front of a massive crowd at the Kent circuit, making it one of the biggest outdoor sporting events of the year in the UK.
One hour later, Shane Byrne joins the show at 11am on the same day, where he rekindles the stunning moments of the 2003 Brands Hatch round, where he completed the double as a wildcard. From pre-race favourites to the pressure ahead of Race 2 and his emotions before and after, ‘Shakey’ will be sure to shine some light on becoming the first – and so far, only – British rider to achieve a WorldSBK debut as a wildcard.
